Microdermabrasion
Particle skin resurfacing, also know as Microdermabrasion, removes the outer layer of skin through the use of a highly controlled spray of aluminum oxide crystals. When repeated once a week over a five-week period, clients will notice at least a 50% improvement in the texture, color, and appearance of their skin. Common treatment conditions include:

- Fine wrinkles
- Blackheads& whiteheads
- Sun damaged skin
- Acne prone skin
- Oily skin
- Superficial age spots
- Scar reduction
Unlike many other skin resurfacing techniques, particle skin resurfacing does not discriminate. It is ideal for heavily pigmented skin types including that of Hispanics, African Americans, and Asians. As many doctors and aestheticians will tell you, there are many contraindications for chemical and laser peels. Because there is no acid or thermal effect, hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation are non issues with particle skin resurfacing. In addition, there is minimal risk with this "lunch time" skin peel procedure. It is also less expensive than laser skin resurfacing, and because treatments are spaced weekly, the cost can be deferred over 5-9 weeks.
This type of skin peel was pioneered in Europe over a decade ago. Over a million patients have been successfully treated. During your consultation, you may request a sample of the particle skin resurfacing treatment on your hand to verify its effectiveness and painlessness. Contact us for more information.
